Terms of Service

An agreement with My Danish Roots follows typically these steps:

  1. You fill out the form on our front page
  2. We do a free preliminary search and consultation and inform you about the outcome and our evaluation of the chances of success
  3. You choose the number of research hours you’re comfortable with and pay our fee, either by
    1. MasterCard, Mastercard Debet, Visa, Visa Electron, Visa/Dankort or Maestro
      • My Danish Roots uses a secure payment server that encrypts all information with SSL protocol which means your data is secure and cannot be read by other outsiders
      • When paying with Visa Electron and Mastercard Debit, which is a debit card, the payment will be reserved in your account in accordance with the terms of your card until we withdraw or decline the payment
      • We charge your credit card before we commence our research
      • If you want to pay by credit card, we will email your invoice and a secure link to be used for your payment
    2. PayPal (account: info@mydanishroots.dk)
    3. Bank transfer
  4. We always confirm upon receipt of payments
  5. We commence the research and share the findings during the research process
  6. You have the option of changing or terminating the research at any time of the process and get a refund for hours not used but the right of withdrawal is not granted on our services as they are of such a nature that under Danish law no right of return can or should be granted
  7. Our invoices are settled in USD
  8. All amounts on the website include VAT; if applicable
