My Danish Roots provide thorough and trustworthy genealogy research based on Danish sources. The research will be tailored your needs and preferences.
Before accepting a task, we shall conduct free preliminary research to be sure that we can help you reaching your specific goals. This research is of no obligation to you at all.
In many cases, very little information is enough from you to get the research going.
Our flexible approach
We do the research in steps of a limited number of hours, i.e. the number you prefer because it is impossible to tell how long the research will take before it is closed.
During the research, we shall keep you informed about the progress and share findings with you, so you can adjust the focus if you want to. And you can close the research at any time and for any reason and we shall refund unused hours in total.
If our preliminary search shows that we can make a difference, we take on a task. No matter how big or small it is, we’ll always find as much as possible with the time we agree upon.
Our rate is 425 DKK per hour. We charge only for our working hours, and we don’t add any other costs at all.
In other words, you could get started for around 60 USD or even less!

We can go deeply into the sources and take out all information of the records due to our detailed knowledge of the old Denmark, e.g. the words, terms and abbreviations that are no longer understood, the naming rules through the ages, the division into counties, municipalities, districts, deaneries, parishes and the Danish history.
We don’t undertake a research project unless we know the chance of success is good. Nothing is guaranteed in genealogy, though. Research is often unpredictable, and no one can tell in advance how successful the research will be. We do guarantee, however, that we will do our utmost to resolve any issue that might arise.

We process your personal information securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable law, including the Personal Data Regulation and the Data Protection Act.
Your information will only be used for the research we are conducting for you.
When visitors fill out the form on the site, we collect the data displayed in the form and the visitor’s IP address and browser’s user agent string to help detect spam.
